ELURU: TDP candidate from the Denduluru constituency in Andhra Pradesh Chintamaneni Prabhakar has the highest number of criminal cases pending against him among candidates in Andhra Pradesh in the Lok Sabha election.

Prabhakar is seeking his third term as MLA from Denduluru. In his previous election affidavit, he declared that around 30 cases had been filed against him. However, in his current election affidavit, submitted during the nomination process, he disclosed 93 criminal cases registered in various police stations for multiple offences, including a "rowdy sheet."

Among the cases pending against him is the infamous Tahsildar Vanajakshi incident. Chintamaneni Prabhakar was also sentenced to two years imprisonment for assaulting former minister Vatti Vasant Kumar. Still, this conviction and sentence are currently not in effect, as he has appealed against the verdict in the High Court.

As per the election affidavit, Chintamaneni Prabhakar has immovable properties worth over Rs 50 crore in the name of his family members.

Despite being close to a century in number of criminal cases registered against him, Prabhakar remains a candidate for the upcoming election, seeking re-election for a third term.
