AMARAVATI: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is leading in 16 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, followed by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in four seats, and the BJP in two seats, according to the latest trends from the Election Commission of India (ECI).

In the 2019 elections, the ruling YSRCP secured 22 Lok Sabha seats but is currently leading in only four seats in the 2024 elections, as reported by the ECI. Conversely, the TDP, which won only three seats in 2019, is now leading with 16 seats in the state.

The leading candidates in Lok Sabha constituencies across Andhra Pradesh include G M Harish from TDP in Amalapuram (SC), C.M. Ramesh securing victory for BJP in Anakapalli, and Ambica G Lakshminarayana Valmiki emerging triumphant for TDP in Anantapur. Daggubati Purandeshwari secured victory in Rajahmundry, representing her constituency, while Y. S. Avinash Reddy emerged triumphant in Kadapa.

In Araku (ST), Gumma Thanuja Rani clinched the win for YSRCP, while in Bapatla (SC), Krishna Prasad Tenneti stood out as the winner for TDP.

The voting for both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh occurred on May 13, with an impressive voter turnout of 80.66 percent.
