RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday declared that he would release phase one of the party election manifesto during the public meeting on Sunday, May 28,2023, in Rajamahendravaram.

He addressed party representatives meeting under the two-day 42nd Telugu Desam Party’s Mahanadu marking the birth centenary celebrations of party founder and actor NT Rama Rao, at Vemagiri on the outskirts of the town.

Naidu called upon the voters of the state to bring back the TDP to power to make the state occupy the number one position again among other states in the country. “I took an oath that I will not return to Assembly till I restore its honour, so it’s up to you now,” he said adding that he drew plans to put AP on the top by 2029.

“While the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy become the richest among other CMs in the country the state is driven to the last place, making it the poorest in the country,” he ridiculed the YSRCP government, adding that the state had been pushed into a deep debt trap.

The former chief minister said that he would add people to the PPP mode of development and transform their lives if voted to power in the ensuing elections. He asked the party cadre to be ready even if the YS Jagan government opted for an early election.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) flag was a backbone for the Telugu community across the globe while the front wheel of the party symbol, the cycle, means welfare while the rear wheel means development, he observed.

Chandrababu Naidu said the ongoing conclave was special as there was enthusiasm and energy in the party cadre. "If some people try to obstruct us, let us move ahead by crushing them," he said.

Remembering NT Rama Rao, for bringing recognition to the Telugu people, the national president said "We are descendants of such a great leader." Stating that Rajamahendravaram was the platform for the Telugu culture and traditions, Chandrababu said that this was the land wherein the great poet Nannayya trekked while the historic personality, Kandukuri Veeresalingam was born here and the historic personality Sir Arthur Cotton lived here.

Terming this year’s Mahanadu as historic as it coincided with the centenary birth anniversary of the Late NT Rama Rao and the 42-year-long travel of the TDP, Chandrababu gave a call to the party leaders and cadre to take the Telugu society to the top level in the world.

Pointing out that the cadre and the leaders have made several sacrifices in the past four years without getting scared of arrests and attacks, the TDP supremo said that he will always stand by the cadre as a member of their family.

With the introduction of technology there was no gap between the leaders and the cadre, the former chief minister said that the coming war would be like Kurukshetra and the cadre should strive to defeat the Kauravas.

Party senior K Atchannaidu during his speech said that voters of the state committed a mistake by electing YSRCP. “You believed his Kodi Kathi drama and YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder for sympathy and elected a criminal, we have to chase Jagan away,” he said. He was confident that the party would get 160 seats in the coming Assembly elections.

Earlier, Nara Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated a photo exhibition and blood donation camp. Varla Ramaiah, TDP general secretary, Kasani Gnaneswar, TTDP chief,, Eluri Sambasiva Rao, Sistla Lohith, and others also spoke during the morning session.
