AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Seetharam suspended nine Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs for a day for obstructing the presentation of vote on account budget by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath here on Wednesday.

Expressing displeasure over the protests by the TDP members shouting slogans, the Minister said that the TDP could do nothing original as even the slogans were copied from elsewhere. “Copying is TDP’s patent right and a copyright. We used to shout Bye Bye Babu and now there are doing the same. Even the pamphlets they distributed today and the promises they are making are copied,” he pointed out.

Urging the TDP lawmakers not to force senior MLAs to the podium to protest, the FinanceMinister said seniors such as Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Gorantla Buchaiah Choudhury, and Gana Venkat Reddy were forced to protest at the Speaker podium.

Buggana Rajendranath, the Minister for Legislative Affairs then urged the Speaker to suspend nine TDP MLAs including Nandamuri Balakrishna, Gorantla Buchaiah Choudhary, N Chinarajappa, Venkatareddy Naidu, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Rama Raju and Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy for a day.
