HYDERABAD: Second son of a famous 'Madugula Halwa' sweet shop owner Dasari Bheema Raju in Madugula of Anakapalle district in Andhra Pradesh died in a freak accident in Kyrgyzstan where he was pursuing a second-year MBBS degree.

Dasari Chandu (20) went to a waterfall on Sunday along with four students from AP and other classmates under the watchful eye of their teaching staff.

However, Chandu got stuck in the frozen waterfall and died. Chandu was enjoying the end of his second-year MBBS examinations along with his classmates when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, Chandu's parents have contacted Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and he has called the Kyrgyzstan officials and arranged for the transportation of the dead body to Anakapalle at the earliest.

On June 2, 2023, a student from Bihar, who was pursuing medical studies in Kyrgyzstan, died in Bishek. Puja Kumari also an MBBS student was a third-year student. She died of ill health.
