TIRUPATI: TTD Deputy EE Sri Lakshmi was arrested in an attempted murder case on Wednesday. According to the report, her husband Girish Chandra Reddy and two others were also arrested along with EE Sri Lakshmi.
On May 25, there was an assassination attempt on Venkata Siva Reddy in Tirupati's NGO Colony. Siva Reddy is currently receiving treatment in a private hospital and is in serious condition.
Two people attacked Siva Reddy with a bike in front of his residence. Siva Reddy sustained serious injuries after being attacked on the head with a blunt knife.
Siva Reddy and Sri Lakshmi, who reside in opposing flats in the flat, had fought numerous times in the past. The Alipiri police, who arrested them, are now investigating the case. The cops apprehended the accused based on CCTV video.
