TADEPALLI: The Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRT)has informed that the situation in Kyrgyzstan is currently normal and two direct flights will be flown daily from the trouble-torn Bishkek to New Delhi from May 23.

Quoting Charanjeet Singh, Additional Secretary, Eurasia, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, the society said that it was continuously monitoring the situation in Kyrgyzstan and communicating with Telugu students and counseling them.

The APNRTS said it would be sharing the available information, and advisories of the Ministry of Extern Affairs with students promptly.

“In continuation to our efforts in ensuring AP students’ safety and well-being in Kyrgyzstan, APNRT Society has reached out to the office of Charanjeet Singh and informed the current situation and hardships faced by the AP students in Kyrgyzstan as described by them and requests received from our students, parents about the possibility of repatriating our students at the earliest from Kyrgyzstan,” the APNRT press release said.

However, it was further advised that medical students from India in Kyrgyzstan should take into account the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC) before they take any steps to return to India.

It was informed that in case any student wanted to return to India, there would be two direct flights operating daily from Bishkek to New Delhi from May 23. For any help or further assistance, Indian students could reach out to the Embassy of India in Bishkek on their helpline at 0555710041.
