NELLORE: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy spotted a boy on a wheelchair en-route Chintareddy Palem to Kovur and Kavali Assembly constituencies in Nellore district on Saturday. The Chief Minister learnt that the 20-year-old boy, Darshigunta Jayakrishna from Kummarakondur village, had been bedridden for 15 years due to stunted growth and was unable to walk. Despite his mother Ranamma's efforts and substantial expenses, there was no improvement in his condition.

YS Jagan, upon seeing Jayakrishna's condition, stopped his convoy and personally inquired about the situation. Jayakrishna's mother Ranamma, who had lost her husband and could no longer afford her son's medical treatment, made a fresh appeal to Chief Minister Jagan for help. Deeply moved by Jayakrishna's plight, the Chief Minister reassured the family and instructed the authorities to provide all necessary assistance for Jayakrishna's treatment under the Aarogyashri scheme.
