Woman protests as man fakes her death to sell off her property in Kuppam

KUPPAM: An incident wherein a woman's property was sold to others by creating a fake death certificate in Kuppam of Chittoor district came to light after the victim staged a protest at the Kuppam Sub-Registrar office.

According to details, a widow named Ravi Kanchana Verma from Ambur in Tamil Nadu staged a protest at the Kuppam sub-registrar office alleging that a person named Ravi Perumal created a fake death certificate on her name and sold her property to others.

Stating that her husband Ravi Varma died two years ago, Ravi Kanchana Varma claimed that a person named Ravi Perumal had created the death certificate in her name Kanchana Ravi Varma and sold the property to others. She urged the sub-registrar officials to do justice to her. As the sub-registrar Venkata Subbaiah assured her that they would solve her problem in ten days, the woman left the office.
