VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came down heavily on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for resorting to several irregularities in AP Skill Development Corporation, AP Fibre Grid, Amaravati Inner Ring Road, Assigned lands and Neeru Chettu programme in the name of Amaravati capital construction.

YS Jagan disbursed financial assistance of Rs 275.93 crore into the accounts of 2,75,931 beneficiaries of YSR Vahana Mitra, Rs 10,000 each for the year 2023-24 at a programme held at Vijayawada on Friday. The State Government, so far spent Rs. 1301crore under YSR Vahana Mithra providing financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to each of the beneficiaries.

Addressing a gathering of auto rickshaw drivers and cab drivers in Vidhyadharapuram, the Chief Minister said, "Andhra Pradesh is going to witness a Kurukshetra- like battle in the next elections between Chandrababu Naidu’s deceptive DPT (dochuko panchuko tinuko or ‘plunder, stash and devour’ in English) and your son’s earnest implementation of DBT (direct benefit transfer) into the accounts of the beneficiaries. I appeal to the people of the State to choose wisely between DPT and DBT and stay behind him in the Kurukshetra- like battle only if they feel welfare is done to them."

Highlighting the welfare done to the public in the last four-and-a-half years in the State, he said that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) considered its manifesto as a holy book and the Government fulfilled 99 per cent of the promises made and became voice of the voiceless. "Chandrababu hoodwinked all sections of sections of the society including unemployed, women and farmers. Why did Naidu fail to implement the welfare schemes which the YSRCP Government is implementing now, though the budget is less now, percentage wise,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that Naidu only implemented the policy of plunder, stash and devour. “Unlike Naidu, I don't have any foster son like Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan to support all the irregularities done by Naidu and not being shielding by a "gang of thieves" and friendly media," YS Jagan said.

YS Jagan also said that the State Government gave as many as 30,76,000 house site pattas to the weaker sections. The opposition party which opposed it and moved the courts citing demographic imbalance, a war between the pro-poor Government and the capitalists and the war between the ruling party that wants the welfare schemes to continue and the opposition that wants to cheat the people after the elections, he said.

The Chief Minister called upon the people to become his soldiers and bless the YSRCP to power again if they believed they were benefited from the welfare policies of the Government.
