VIJAYAWADA: Reiterating that the people of Andhra Pradesh will elect YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the second time, YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the Chief Minister will start his election campaign with 'Siddham' public meeting at Bheemili near Visakhapatnam on January 27.

Inaugurating the YSRCP office at Singh Nagar in Vijayawada on Thursday, he said that the city developed under the leadership of YS Jagan. "Nara Chandrababu Naidu was just eager to bring down YS Jagan's Government from day one. On the other hand Jagan Mohan Reddy embarked on real governance without partiality in the name of caste or creed," he said. He said that Chandrababu Naidu's obsession with Amaravati hurt the State financially.

Advising the party cadre in the Vijayawada to work in unison, said that all the MLAs should work in tandem for the victory of Kesineni Nani contesting in the Vijayawada Parliament seat. "Malladi Vishnu and Vellampalli will work together," he said. Expressing confidence in the victory of the YSRCP he said that the YCP Government distributed house pattas to 31 lakh women and the mega DSC notification would be announced anytime.

Later speaking with media at the party office in Tadepally, Sajjala said that YS Sharmila spoke the speech scripted by Chandrababu Naidu. He suspected a tacit understanding between Sharmila and Chandrababu Naidu.

Reacting to her recent speeches in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram, Sajjala wanted to know what harm does Jagan Mohan Reddy did to her. “What she was expecting from Him. He is the leader of a regional party and he is the boss. He can't just give away posts to his family members ignoring other efficient leaders,” Sajjala said.

He asked Sharmila about the cadre of the YSRTP that she merged with the Congress. “You must be answering them in the first place,” he said. Countering her allegations about the lack of development in Andhra Pradesh, Sajjala said that probably, she was talking about Telangana.

Reminding her about the days immediately after the tragic death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Sajjala said that YS Jagan was the only true representative of the departed leader. “There were false cases slapped on him by the Congress and he was not allowed to undertake the ‘Odarpu yatra’, but he survived and people elected him to be the CM of the State,” he observed.

He wanted to know why Sharmila remained silent when Telangana CM Revanth Reddy had commented on the death of YSR and said that he died of the sins he committed by encouraging turncoats from the then TRS.

Answering a question on the acceptance of the resignation of Ganta Srinivasa Rao just in time for the Rajya Sabha elections, he said that it was the prerogative of the Speaker and said that Chandrababu Naidu was trying to play a political game without sufficient numbers in the State Assembly.
