HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court on Monday rejected the bail petitions filed by YS Bhaskar Reddy and his associate Uday Kumar Reddy in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.

A single-judge bench of justice K Laxman delivered the verdict, which had reserved the orders on August 24, pronounced the same on Monday. The bench said it could not grant bail to the accused as the investigation was at a crucial stage and there was strong evidence against Bhaskar Reddy.

Bhaskar Reddy and Uday Kumar Reddy, who were arrested in this case on April 16, are currently in ChanchalGuda Jail as remand prisoners. Bhaskar Reddy was detained at his residence in Pulivendula in Kadapa district on April 16 by the CBI officials who were investigating the YS Viveka murder case.
