HYDERABAD: The chargesheet submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy, former minister and uncle of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan YS Vivekananda Reddy, on June 30 revealed the details of the key witnesses and their statements.

According to the CBI, the witnesses included Jagan's OSD P Krishnamohan Reddy, retired CS Ajeya Kallam, YSRCP MLC Ummareddy Venkateshwararlu, and Jagan's assistant Goparaju Naveen Kumar. They gave their statements regarding the case. The CBI also stated that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was in a meeting at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad on March 15, 2019, the day when Viveka was killed, to discuss his manifesto.

YS Jagan's OSD Krishnamohan Reddy statement

According to the statement by P. Krishnamohan Reddy, during his meeting with YS Jagan, the latter's assistant Naveen had called him out and handed over the phone informing him that MP Avinash Reddy was on the line. Krishnamohan Reddy said that Avinash Reddy informed him of the death of YS Vivekananda Reddy saying that the dead body was in the bathroom in a pool of blood and asked Krishnamohan Reddy to inform Jagan about the situation.

Krishnamohan Reddy then escalated the news of Viveka's death to Jagan who then left his home and later to proceeded to Pulivendula. When questioned by the CBI about his multiple conversations with Avinash, Krishnamohan Reddy stated that he (YS Avinash Reddy) he called him five times regarding Jagan's visit to Pulivendula. He said that Jagan won't use his mobile and communicated through his assistant or his phone.

Former Chief Secretary Ajeya Kallam's stated that when they were in Lotus Pond at 5.30 am on the day of the murder, YS Jagan was called by Bharati upstairs through an attendant and later after 10 minutes YS Jagan came out and informed him about the death of YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Going by the statement of Goparaju Naveen, the personal attendant of YS Jagan, YS Avinash Reddy had called him and told him that he wanted to talk to YS Jagan. However, as he said Jagan was in a meeting with Krishnamohan Reddy, the Kadapa MP had asked him to give the phone to Krishnamohan Reddy which Naveen did. However, Naveen in his statement said that he was not privy to what had transpired between them.

YSRCP MLC Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu

Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu, a YSRCP MLC told the CBI in a statement that during the meeting on March 15, someone informed Jagan about YS Vivekananda Reddy's death. However, he said that he could not recall who exactly conveyed the news to Jagan.
