AMARAVATI: YSRCP alleged that the TDP and the JSP activists have started creating havoc after the election results were out in Andhra Pradesh. The party cadre complained that the alliance activists started vandalising statues, resorting to stone-pelting, and destroying vehicles.

However, the TDP refuted all the allegations and that the Government would initiate action if anyone tried to spread fake news. Responding to news about an attack on a temple in Nagari, the TDP took to X and clarified that the news was fake.

In Mangalagiri of Guntur district, YSR statues were vandalised and flags of the alliance parties were displayed on the statues. The name of former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was removed from a community hall inaugurated by former MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga.

YS Jagan's digital boards were removed from the first and second secretariats in Emani village of Duggirala mandal, and stones were thrown on the portrait of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the stone plaque of the new Secretariat smashed by encouraging local children.

The Navaratnala board at the Rythu Bharosa Kendra was destroyed. A plaque of YSR Village Clinic at Gollapadu in Palnadu district was vandalised. On Wednesday evening, Telugu Desam leaders vandalised the stone plaques in the name of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and RK Roja at several temples in Puttur of Tirupati district.

In Nellore district's Dagadarthi mandal, YSRCP worker Sheikh Mastan was attacked by TDP leaders. His mother, Sheikh Bibi, was seriously injured. He was rushed to Nellore government hospital.

In Tadakaluru, YSRCP activist Yalama Venkateswarlu doused a two-wheeler with petrol and set it ablaze. Raids were carried out in other villages. Former Kavali MLA Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy urged the police to take steps to prevent disputes in villages

In Eluru district, TDP activists damaged the stone plaques at Garlamadugu Sachiva-Layam and Health Clinic premises in Pedavegi mandal. Photographs of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Abbayya Chowdary were smashed with a hammer.

Sarpanch Jijjuvarapu Nagaraju said that the files were stolen from his office. Stones and government property were destroyed in the secretariat compound.

TDP and Janasena workers vandalised Borra Narayana Rao's chicken shop in Kaikaram village of Unguturu mandal. Narayan complained to the police. Stones were pelted at Jagannathpuram Secretariat-1 in Tadepalligudem mandal of West Godavari district.

Ward members Muppidi Lakshmana Rao and Lakshmana Rao were assaulted. At Sangapatnam in Nandyal district, the Secretariat and Health Clinic pylons were damaged. The victims in several villages said that the police did not respond even after they were informed that the TDP and Janasena were indulging in vandalism.

A statue of late Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was vandalised by unidentified persons. The statue was installed in 2010 at the Anjaneyaswamy Temple at Vadlakutitippa in Kaikaluru mandal of Eluru district. YSRCP former MLA DNR and MLC Jayamangala Venkataramana condemned the incident. Police are investigating the vandalism.

Volunteer Baburao, a resident of Bhatluru village in Sattenapalli mandal of Palnadu district, was threatened by a TDP leader from the village with dire consequences. On the other hand, TDP activists pelted stones and bottles at the houses of Dalits at SC Colony in Pedamakkenna village.

YSRCP activists were attacked with sticks and stones. They threatened to kill him. Eluru rural mandal president Srinivas Raju, State Vaddikula Corporation chairman Mungara Sanjeev Kumar, and Garlamadugu YSRCP leader Krishna were attacked by the TDP activists at Vijayarayi when they were traveling in a car.

Krishna was dragged out of the car and thrown on the road. He was dragged for some distance and forced to make a video apologising to Chintamaneni Prabhakar. Srinivas Raju and Sanjeev Kumar, who tried to stop them, were pushed away. YSRCP leaders were injured in the incident. The attack was carried out by former MLA Kothi Abbayya Chaudhary.

The injured were rushed to the Markapuram district hospital from where they were referred to the Ongole GGH. In Pulivendula of the YSR district, the house of YSRCP social media YouTuber Sunkesula Adiseshu was attacked by TDP cadres with sickles. When Adiseshu was not at home, they misbehaved with the women and scattered the materials. Police said a case has been registered on the complaint of the woman's father.

Several YSRCP activists took to X and complained about attacks in their respective areas. There were reports of attacks in Uravakonda, Veeravasaram village SC Peddapeta in Bhimavaram constituency of West Godavari district and a knife attack in public view at Nuzvid Pedda Gandhi Bomma Centre.

Jagan appeals to the Governor

Appealing to the State Governor for intervention, the YS Jagan said that Government and private properties like village secretariats and RBKs were destroyed in these attacks.

“YSRCP leaders and activists were not spared. Under pressure from the ruling party, the police system has become inactive. The five-year-old peace process has been completely disrupted,” he said.

“We urge you to immediately intervene and stop the atrocities and stand up to protect the lives, property, and public property of the people. We stand in solidarity with every worker and social media soldier who lost their lives due to the TDP attacks,” the party chief said.
