YSRCP releases sixth list of 10 constituency in-charges

TADEPALLI: YSR Congress Party comes up with one more list of surprises in candidates for Lok Sabha and Assembly. Ummareddy Venkateswarlu’s son Venkata Ramana was made incharge of Guntur Lok Sabha seat which is traditionally a Kamma seat. Except Lal Jan Basha, never a non -Kamma was elected from there since Prof N G Ranga days.

A minority Md Khalil was fielded from Nellore city in the place of sitting MLA Dr Anil Kumar Yadav (BC) who is made incharge of Narasaraopet Lok Sabha seat. Sitting MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu (Kamma) resigned from the YSR Congress, since he sensed denial of ticket from the same constituency. He was not inclined to contest from Guntur Lok Sabha seat and he might get the TDP ticket from Narasaraopet Lok Sabha.

Mylavaram MLA seat was given to N Tirupati Rao Yadav (BC), denying renomination to sitting MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad (Kamma), who has always given pinpricks to the leadership and passed remarks that didn’t go down well with the party.

Former Kurnool MP Butta Renuka (BC) is made the incharge of Yemmiganur, replacing a Reddy (Chennakesava Reddy).

Belying the expectations of all that son of former MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju would be fielded from Narsapuram Lok Sabha seat against the incumbent Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju who turbines hostile to the YSRCP after being elected and now would contest on behalf of the TDP, a fresh face Guduri Uma Bala ( a BC woman advocate) is chosen for the seat in a traditional upper caste Kshatriya seat.

Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat is given to Guduri Srinivas belonging to Setti Balija (BC) as sitting MP Margani Bharat (Gowda - BC) who will contest for the Assembly.

The YSRCP announced the sixth list of candidates for Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies here on Friday.

The YCP also appointed YV Subba Reddy as regional coordinator for the Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam, Araku, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam Parliamentary Constituencies. Majji Srinivasa Rao would act as deputy regional coordinator for Salur, Parvathipuram, Kurupam, Palakonda Assembly segments, and Vizianagaram and Srikakulam Parliamentary Constituency.
