Over 7 lakh grassroots workers to reach out to all 1.6 crore households in 14 days

AMARAVATHI: YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Tuesday unveiled the poster of the party's upcoming campaign — Jagananne Maa Bhavishyatthu — the biggest ever outreach programme by any political party in the recent past.

The campaign would officially be launched on April 7.

Close to 7 lakh grassroots workers would be reaching out to all 1.6 crore households in the state over a period of 2 weeks from April 7 to April 20 making this a one of its kind campaign.

Speaking at the poster launch event at the party’s central office in Tadepalli on Tuesday, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said, ‘The campaign slogan — Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan — has come from the public itself. There were multiple group discussions with the public at the grassroots across 12,000 village secretariats and what stood out among all these conversations was this slogan. This reflected the ground reality that people across the state reposed trust in Jagan for their future.

The poster unveiling ceremony was followed by the screening of the “JMB” campaign video.

Elaborating on the upcoming campaign, Sajjala said, “The grassroots soldiers, who will be active in the campaign, have been directly in contact with the party’s central office. Regional coordinators as well as MLAs have undergone Mandal-wise training in mission mode where they were equipped to conduct effective public connect.’

This outreach programme aimed at reaching and tapping every household in the state in a record 14 days where the party tends to showcase a comparison of people’s lives back in the time of the TDP Government versus the current YSRCP Government.

As a part of the massive launch on April 7, the YSRCP plans to hold press conferences across 175 Assembly constituencies simultaneously. The entire party cadre, which has been doubled in the last few months, is set to go door-to-door to ask the people directly how Chief Minister Jagan has fared and further take his message to the last mile.

Other prominent leaders including Social Welfare Minister Merugu Nagarjuna, BC Welfare Minister Chelluboina Venu Gopala Krishna, AP Planning Board Vice-Chairman and MLA Malladi Vishnu, MLCs Lella Appi Reddy, and Chandragiri Yesuratnam were also present at the event.
