HYDERABAD: The war of words between the ruling YSRCP and the main opposition TDP is hotting up in Andhra Pradesh politics. Recently, politics have been revolving around the NTR Statue. The political analysts believe that the YSRCP is in the process of owning NTR and named Vijayawada district as NTR in this order. Meanwhile, the painting of his statue with YSRCP colours in NTR's home district of Krishna has caused a stir politically. TDP leaders are incensed and reached there and cleaned the statue and repainted it.

TDP Mini Mahanadu will be launched in Krishna District Angaluru from tomorrow. The TDP, which has taken this Mahanadu seriously, is also mobilizing people on a large scale. TDP leaders are incensed that the government is resorting to provocations.

Meanwhile, former YSRCP minister Kodali Nani has reacted sharply to the latest TDP allegations. He said that NTR was a national treasure and anyone could use the NTR photo. Kodali Nani criticised Chandrababu recalling that the former had suspended NTR from the party and opined that he was ready for the discussion on the same. He said he had set up the NTR statue himself in Bommalur with his own money and made clear that the controversy began with the removal of his name on the statue. He challenged that he would paint all the NTR statues in Gudivada with YSRCP colours.

The Gudivada MLA alleged that TDP leaders were holding a public meeting mobilising people and spending huge sums of money. He said that he had respect for NTR family members and said that he didn't utter a single word against the NTR family except for Chandrababu and Lokesh. He said he had no dissatisfaction with not getting a ministerial berth.
