"Release my son immediately"; mother of Jagan's attacker
Srinivas was accused of attacking Jagan in Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, 2018.

AMARAVATI: Savitri, mother of Srinivas, who was accused of attacking YS Jaganmohan Reddy, when the latter was the Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, has written a letter to CBI pleading for Srinivas's release immediately.
She said in the letter to the CBI said that for four years the case hadn't seen any progress and that her son was kept in remand without commencing the trial.
"The National Investigation Agency (NIA) hasn't been doing any investigation," Savitri wrote. She lamented that her son was languishing in the prison for years
Srinivas was accused of attacking Jagan in Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, 2018.
Soon after the attack, the Central Reserve Protection Force (CRPF) took him into custody. A lot of controversy raged around the incident. A letter purportedly found in his pocket created political ripples. Later, Jagan was elevated h the Chief Minister in the 2019 elections. However, no action was taken in this regard so far.
