HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court, which reserved the verdict on the plea filed by the VANPIC project with respect to the disproportionate assets case against Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy issued the orders to Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday to release the 1,416 acres of land from attachment.

On the other hand, the High Court has posted the hearing on the attachment of the remaining 11,804 acres of land to November 14.

It may be recalled that the Enforcement Directorate had registered a case and attached more than 13,000 acres of land belonging to the VANPIC project following the CBI case on the allegations that thousands of acres of land were allotted to the project by the then YS Rajasekhar Reddy government as part of a quid pro quo arrangement.

This was allegedly in lieu of pumping investments into YS Jaganmohan Reddy's companies.
