Wife goes to the police over husband's violent cheek bite in AP

AMARAVATI: A woman went to the police with a complaint against her husband. She accused him of a violent cheek-bite and demanded action against him.

This is a case that stunned the police in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. A quarrel between a husband and his wife has led to the police complaint. The wife lodged the complaint with the police, blaming her husband for biting her cheek incessantly.

Rambabu, the husband, is a security guard and has of late been addicted to drinking. Annoyed by his recent vice, his wife Sravanti admonished him. An altercation over this escalated into a big fight during which Rambabu bit her cheek violently.

Neighbours, who intervened, rushed Sravanti to a hospital for treatment. After recovering, the victim lodged a complaint with the Penamaluru police, demanding immediate action against her husband. The police have registered a case and are looking into the incident.
