Actress Laya ups her PR game to make a comeback in Tollywood

HYDERABAD: Laya is one of the few local heroines who attained stardom in the Telugu film industry. She was one of the most popular actresses in Tollywood in the 2000s. She made her acting debut as a heroine with the 1999 film Swayamvaram. It was a blockbuster at the box office.

Later, Laya went on to act in various other successful films like Manoharam, Devullu, Hanuman Junction, Shiva Rama Raju, Missamma, Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila and Swarabhishekam. She acted alongside popular heroes like Balakrishna, Jagapathi Babu and Arjun Sarja.

After getting married, she bid adieu to films and went back to the USA to focus on family life. In 2018, she made a comeback by acting in a brief special role in Ravi Teja's Amar Akbar Anthony. It was a disaster at the box office. After that, Laya didn't show any interest in acting too.

Now, it looks like she is planning to make a big comeback. She is back in India and is giving continuous interviews on various Youtube channels. Her PR team is also running a positive campaign across social media and bringing attention towards her. Looking at all these, we assume she is determined to make a strong re-entry. We have to see what will be her much-anticipated comeback film.
