HYDERABAD: Akkineni Nagarjuna is gearing up to join the Sankranthi race, a period when the Telugu film industry witnesses a flurry of releases. This festive season is already crowded with films like Mahesh Babu's "Guntur Kaaram" and Ravi Teja's "Eagle," among others.

Nagarjuna is now set to add to this competition and vie for screens during the Pongal festival. The film marks the directorial debut of noted dance choreographer Vijay Binni, known for choreographing popular songs.

The team plans to shoot a teaser video and release it on Nagarjuna's birthday, which falls on August 29th. Immediate shooting will commence to wrap up the project on schedule. The film's backdrop is centered around the Sankranthi festival, making it a fitting choice for the Pongal release.

Producers Srinivaasaa Chitturi and Pavan have ambitious plans for a grand Sankranthi release. The film's music will be composed by MM Keeravani. Further details about the cast and crew are eagerly awaited, and a formal announcement is expected to follow soon.
