Alia Bhatt's Darlings to be remade in Telugu

Netflix's Darlings, starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role is currently trending on the platform. The film was originally scheduled for a theatrical release but the plan was changed and the film was released on Netflix on August 5th. The film caught everyone's attention instantly and has become a big hit. Now, plans are being made to remake the film in Telugu.

Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew essayed the lead roles in the film. The producers expressed their happiness over the film's positive response and confirmed remaking the film in multiple languages.

The makers will be making necessary changes to the script and localize it to suit the Telugu and Tamil markets. The work will begin shortly.

Billed to be a black comedy drama, the film was co-written and directed by Jasmeet K. Reen. Jasmeet marked her directorial debut with the film. Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma jointly produced the film under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions.
