HYDERABAD: The Allahabad court's Lucknow bench criticized the creators of the film Adipurush and raised concerns about how the censor board approved the movie for public exhibition. The bench remarked that such films challenge the tolerance of Hindus and expressed gratitude that the community did not cause any disturbances.

Additionally, the court issued a notice to the film's writer, Manoj Muntashir, making him a party to the case and requesting a response within one week. The hearing focused on two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) filed by Kuldeep Tiwari and Naveen Dhawan, who sought a ban on the film. The next hearing is scheduled for today.

Furthermore, the bench rejected the plea arguing that the film's disclaimer stated it was not based on the Ramayana. However, the court questioned how people could avoid assuming it was Ramayana when the movie included characters such as Ram, Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman. The court rhetorically asked if they considered the audience to be brainless.

The bench also criticized the writer for the dialogues in the film, emphasizing that this is a significant issue and questioning how the censor board approved the movie with such scenes and dialogues.
