HYDERABAD: Big B Amitabh Bachchan was injured on the sets of his upcoming film Project K. His rib cartilage broke while he was shooting for the film in Hyderabad. Immediately, Amitabh was shifted to the AIG Hospital. The scans were done and he was advised to take rest for a few days.

Amitabh flew back to Bombay and is resting at home. He took to social media to announce the news. He stated that it was painful but there was no need to worry about his health. He also requested his fans not to come to his home 'Jalsa' as he would be unable to meet them.

In a media release note, Amitabh wrote, "In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured... rib cartilage popped broke... Muscle tear to the right rib cage... cancelled shoot... did a Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home... strapping has been done and rest has been advocated... yes painful... on movement and breathing... will take some weeks they say before some normalization will occur... some medication is on also for pain..."


"So all work that was to be done has been suspended and cancelled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs... I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities .. but yes in rest and generally lying around... It shall be difficult or let me say... I shall be unable to meet, the well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming... All else is well.." Amitabh further added.

Amitabh is playing a key role in Project K. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this big-budget film features Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. It is slated for release on January 12, 2024.

However, producer Aswani Dutt denied the claim, saying that Amitabh Bacchan had completed the shoot three days before and had flown to Mumbai.
