HYDERABAD: The lackluster performance of Megastar Chiranjeevi's recent release, 'Bholaa Shankar,' has triggered extensive discussions among critics and audiences alike. Among the points of contention is the criticism directed at his plain styling and outdated costumes featured in numerous scenes and songs. Chiranjeevi's elder daughter, Sushmita Konidela, has been responsible for costume design in his recent films.

Regardless of the outcomes of his previous projects, Sushmita's efforts have been widely panned by critics. Except for Ram Charan's "Rangasthalam," her styling and costume work hasn't garnered much acclaim in her other endeavors.

While Chiranjeevi's commendable performances in films like "Khaidi No 150," "SyeRaa," and "Waltair Veerayya" managed to overshadow Sushmita's lackluster work, the disappointing results of "Acharya" and "Bholaa Shankar" brought her styling choices under harsh scrutiny.

Both of these films portrayed Chiranjeevi in outdated appearances, which ultimately proved to be a significant drawback. His antiquated look in "Bholaa Shankar" sparked substantial discussion about his decision to persist with Sushmita despite her underwhelming efforts.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi's next film is set to be produced by Sushmita's own production banner. Kalyan Krishna Kurasala is the film's director. The movie will also feature Trisha Krishnan and Sharwanand in pivotal roles.
