HYDERABAD: Savitri Classics, is a book that was launched, based on the life of legendary actress Savitri. The book chronicles her illustrious career in cinema. The event took place at a venue in Hyderabad, with Chiranjeevi and Surekha unveiling the book. Other notable personalities, such as Brahmanandam, Murali Mohan, and Tanikella Bharani, graced the occasion as special guests.

Organised by Savitri's daughter, Vijaya Chamundeshwari, the book "Savitri Classics" was penned by author Sanjay Kishore. During his speech at the event, Chiranjeevi praised Savitri's exceptional talent and reminisced about his personal experiences and interactions with her.

Chiranjeevi fondly recalled an incident from his early days in the film industry, where he had the opportunity to work with Savitri in the film "Pandhamarallu" in 1978. Despite being relatively new to acting, Chiranjeevi was awestruck by Savitri's presence and was deeply impressed by her professionalism and warmth towards him.

He recounted an incident from the shooting of "Punadirallu" where he continued dancing without missing a beat despite slipping and falling while dancing with Savitri on a wet veranda due to rain. Savitri appreciated his resilience and predicted that he would become a successful actor in the future.

Chiranjeevi also shared his experience of working with Savitri in another film where he portrayed her son on-screen. Unfortunately, he didn't get the chance to meet her again before her passing.

The event was a touching tribute to the legendary actress, highlighting her impact on the film industry and her enduring legacy.
