HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi stunned everyone the other day with a shocking revelation. Speaking at the inauguration event of a hospital, Chiru said that he was diagnosed with non-cancerous polyps in the past, which could have turned into cancer. But as it was diagnosed early, Chiru got treatment at the right time. He stated that cancer can be treated as well if diagnosed in the early stages.

In his statement, Chiru clearly said that he was diagnosed with non-cancerous polyps. But media houses started reporting that the actor was diagnosed with cancer but survived with early-stage treatment. Soon, the news spread like wildfire.

Eventually, Chiru came out and clarified his statements. He tweeted, "A while ago, I spoke about the necessity of spreading awareness about cancer while opening a cancer centre. I said that regular medical check-ups could help us in preventing cancer. I was alert and took a colon scope test. I stated that non-cancerous polyps were detected and removed. I only said, 'If I hadn't undergone the test first, it would have turned out to be cancer'."

"But some media organizations didn't get my point and started publicizing articles saying ''I got cancer' and 'I survived due to treatment'. This caused unnecessary confusion. Many well-wishers are sending me messages, asking about my health condition. I am clarifying all of them. Also, I request journalists not to write lame articles without understanding the context. It will cause panic among people," Chiru further added.
