HYDERABAD: Renowned Telugu director K Vasu, known for his exceptional work with stars like Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, has passed away at his residence in Hyderabad. The veteran filmmaker had been battling kidney-related illness for the past few years and had been undergoing treatment for dialysis at a private hospital in Hyderabad for the past two months.

K Vasu made his directorial debut with the Telugu film "Pranam Kharidu," which marked the introduction of Chiranjeevi as an actor on the big screen. The megastar, upon hearing the news of the director's demise, expressed his condolences on Twitter, reminiscing about their collaboration in films such as "Pranam Kharidu," "Tododongalu," "Allullu Annuru," and "Kothala Rayudu" during the early days of Chiranjeevi's career.

Coming from a family with a legacy of accomplished directors, K Vasu followed his father, Pratyagathma, and brother Hemambaradhara Rao to establish himself as a talented filmmaker in Tollywood. He delivered several successful films, leaving a significant impact on the industry.
