HYDERABAD: A case of alleged cheating has been filed against Anil Sunkara, the producer of the upcoming film Bhola Shankar and the head of AK Entertainment. The case has been registered by distributor Battula Satyanarayana, also known as Vizag Satish, who claims that he was cheated in the distribution of the Akhil Akkineni starrer Agent.

In his statement, Vizag Satish has outlined the details of the alleged cheating. He states that he paid Rs 30 crore for the theatrical distribution rights of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka states for the movie Agent.

A formal agreement was made with his film distribution company, Gayatri Devi Films, and the payment was done through proper channels. However, when the time came for the movie's release, he was only given the distribution rights for Vizag district, which he claims was a breach of the agreement.

Following the release of Agent, Vizag Satish approached AK Entertainment's office to discuss the financial issues faced by the film. According to his statement, they promised to return the remaining money and even provided a letter as an undertaking. However, when he attempted to contact them for the outstanding amount, he alleged that they stopped responding to his inquiries.

Satish expressed his frustration at the situation and stated that he felt wronged and compelled to take legal action. He further mentioned instances of bounced checks and cases against AK Entertainment in the past. Despite distributing several films in collaboration with AK Entertainment, Satish claimed that such problems and fraudulent activities had never occurred before.

The timing of this case has gained attention due to the upcoming release of the Chiranjeevi starrer Bhola Shankar. Satish clarified that he initially hesitated to escalate the issue due to the film's release but felt compelled to take action when accusations of forgery were being circulated.

Vizag Satish also indicated that he plans to file a complaint against the financiers involved in the case. As the legal proceedings unfold, the case has raised questions about transparency and ethical practices in the film industry.
