HYDERABAD: The film which was considered small 10 days ago has now become the biggest blockbuster of the Sankranthi season. There has been no stopping for Hanuman at the box office since its release. Beating the likes of Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga, this fantasy action drama became a sensational hit in this festive season.

Before the release, the makers of Hanuman announced that they would be donating 5 rupees from each ticket sold to Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. As promised, they are donating the money to the temple's trust.
As per official reports, a total of Rs. 2,66,41,055 has been donated from 53,28,211 tickets sold so far. The amount is expected to increase further as the film is having a great run in theatres. The film also crossed the five-million mark in the USA and emerged as one of the biggest Telugu hits in the region.
Directed by Prashanth Varma, Hanuman features Teja Sajja in the lead role. Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Vinay Rai played the other key roles in it.
