HYDERABAD: All That Breathes is an Indian documentary which was nominated in the Best Documentary Feature category at this year's Academy Awards. Everyone in India pinned a lot of hope on this movie. However, it lost to the Russian documentary Navalny.

All That Breathes was nominated alongside All the Beauty and the Bloodshed Fire Of Love, A House Made of Splinters, and Navalny. Since the beginning, Navalny was the frontrunner to bag an Oscar and as expected, it achieved the feat.

All That Breathes explores the lives of Delhi-based siblings Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who work on rescuing and treating injured birds, especially the black kites. The film was directed by Shaunak Sen.

Though All That Breath disappointed Indians, the other two Indian films which were nominated in different categories, managed to win an Oscar. While The Elephant Whisperers won the Best Documentary Short award, RRR's Naatu Naatu won an Oscar in the Best Original Song category.
