HYDERABAD: The collaboration between Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam for their highly anticipated project has generated much excitement.

The film has been titled "Thug Life," and the combination of this title with Kamal Haasan's intriguing appearance in the teaser has made a significant impact on audiences. However, the film has fallen into a controversy now.

While the project has garnered much enthusiasm, some observant netizens have raised concerns about similarities to certain Hollywood productions, particularly drawing parallels to the 2019 Hollywood sci-fi thriller, "Rise of Skywalker." However, the team is yet to respond to these comments.

In "Thug Life," Kamal Haasan portrays the character Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakkar, and the film is currently in its early production stages. The musical genius AR Rahman is composing the soundtrack, promising an epic cinematic experience. The addition of Dulquer Salmaan to the cast has further heightened the film's anticipation and stature.

Simbhu was initially approached to play a crucial role in the film but he declined the opportunity because of prior commitments. Later, Dulquer stepped in. The team is currently busy with the production and the makers want to complete the film's shoot in less number of days.
