HYDERABAD: The news of re-release of Suriya's cult film "Surya S/o Krishnan" (known as "Vaaranam Aayiram" in Tamil) created huge buzz in Tollywood film circles. As fans are gearing up to watch the film on the big screen, we have learned that it has been postponed.
The film was scheduled for re-release in the USA on July 19, 2023, and in India on July 21, 2023. However, the distributors have announced a sad update for fans eagerly awaiting the opportunity to watch this romantic action drama on the big screen again.
Due to the simultaneous release of multiple films on the same day, "Surya S/o Krishnan" has been postponed to August 4, 2023, in India. However, the re-release in the USA will proceed as initially planned.
Gautam Vasudev Menon directed the film, which featured Sameera Reddy, Simran, and Divya Spandana as the female leads. The film's music, composed by Harris Jayaraj, has been highly acclaimed and has produced a chartbuster album.
On the other hand, Suriya is currently shooting for his highly anticipated film "Kanguva," directed by Siruthai Siva.
