HYDERABAD: Superstar Mahesh Babu recently faced criticism from his own fans on social media. It all began when Mahesh Babu praised the film "Mem Famous" with a tweet review. The producers of the film then requested Mahesh to collaborate with them for the next project featuring Sumanth Prabhas as the lead.

Mahesh graciously accepted their request, but his fans couldn't handle it. Some fans felt that Mahesh was lowering his stature and compromising his stardom by teaming up with content creators from YouTube. They trolled Mahesh, even requesting him to collaborate with them instead.

Negative comments flooded the social media platforms, and a trend was started with the hashtag #DisasterMemFamous, expressing fans' discontent with Mahesh Babu's generosity towards the producers of "Mem Famous."

The makers of "Mem Famous" addressed the negativity and defended themselves. However, director Rajamouli came to their rescue with a tweet from his profile, praising the team behind the film.

Rajamouli wished them success and shared his positive review. However, the last line of his review did not sit well with many. As a result, Rajamouli himself became the target of trolls from a section of netizens. They believe that people like Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli should refrain from expressing their opinions publicly about the film.
