HYDERABAD: Star heroine Pooja Hegde who quickly rose to fame after her re-entry in Tollywood with Harish Shankar's "Duvvada Jagannadham," has faced a few setbacks recently. Despite becoming a sought-after heroine, her unexpected exit from "Guntur Kaaram" marked a turning point in her career.
Following her replacement in projects like Harish Shankar's "Ustaad Bhagat Singh" with Pawan Kalyan and others, the latest development is her exit from the film "Ganja Shankar," starring Sai Dharam Tej directed by Sampath Nandi.

According to an inside source, Pooja Hegde reportedly prefers roles that are predominantly glamorous. In the case of "Ganja Shankar," where the leading lady spends most of the time in jail wearing a white saree, Pooja is said to have been dissatisfied with the de-glamorous look and consequently decided to step down from the project.
However, there is no official confirmation over the same and neither the team nor the actress opened up about it. At the same time, Pooja Hegde has a Telugu film in hands, where she features along side Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
