HYDERABAD: Pawan Kalyan, the actor-turned-politician, made his Instagram debut on Tuesday. Within two hours of his debut, his verified Instagram had over 713K followers.
His ardent fans welcomed his Instagram debut with congratulating tweets on Twitter, which made him trend on the microblogging site. Fans are impatiently awaiting Power star's first Instagram post as he has yet to make his first Instagram post.
The Jana Sena chief uploaded a display picture from a public meeting with the Jana Sena party's flag in the background on Instagram. His Instagram bio in Telugu reads, "Rise up, face up, choose...hail India!"
Fans are curious whether he would share his cinema or political updates on Instagram, given that he tweets often regarding politics. Powerstar, who made his Twitter debut in August 2014, has 5.3 million followers.
Pawan Kalyan's brother, actor Naga Babu, who is also the Secretary General of the Janasena Party, announced Powerstar's Instagram debut on June 3. He posted, "Storm Alert. Powerstar is about to arrive on Instagram, granting us additional time to connect."
