Raashi Khanna is unnecessarily being compared to Samantha

HYDERABAD: Actress Raashi Khanna was going through a rough patch for the last few months. None of her movies managed to do well at the box office in 2022. When she was in dire need of a hit, Farzi was released. This Amazon Prime Video's web series, directed by Raj and DK, is getting rave reviews from both critics as well as the audience.

Even Raashi is being praised for her performance in the show. But a few media houses and audiences are comparing her performance with Samantha's acting in Raj and DK's other show The Family Man. But it is unfair to compare the performances of both these actresses. First of all, these comparisons started because both Samantha and Raashi are popular Telugu film actresses.

In The Family Man, Samantha plays the role of an antagonist. So, she got a good screen space along with the lead hero Manoj Bajpayee. She got an ample amount of scenes with varied emotions, due to her character.

But that is not the case with Raashi Khanna's role in Farzi. She got a positive character in the show. She works in Vijay Sethupathi's team. The filmmakers also established her character's motive very well and she pulled off the role with ease. Her character plays a major part in the season's cliffhanger as well.

This proves that her role will be more vital in the second season. On the whole, it is a very good character and we have to see if Farzi's success will be a good breakthrough in Raashi's career. As both characters have different arcs and motives, it is unfair to compare Samantha and Raashi's performances.
