HYDERABAD: SS Rajamouli, who recently attended the screening of 'RRR' in Japan, was deeply moved by the overwhelming affection of the audience there. With 750 days passed since its release in March 2022, 'RRR' continues to captivate audiences worldwide. In Japan, where it premiered on October 21, 2022, the film has been running successfully for 532 days, eliciting heartfelt responses from viewers.

Expressing gratitude for the love and appreciation received from the Japanese audience, Rajamouli shared a touching anecdote on social media. He recounted how an 83-year-old lady, deeply impressed by 'RRR', gifted him 1000 origami cranes, a traditional symbol of luck, health, and wealth in Japanese culture.

Despite waiting for hours in the cold air outside the theater, her gesture of kindness left a lasting impact on Rajamouli. In addition to reflecting on the success of 'RRR', Rajamouli also provided updates on the much-anticipated sequel, 'RRR-2'. While confirming the plans for a sequel, he emphasized that it is still in the early stages of development, with ample time before its fruition.
