HYDERABAD: Ram Gopal Varma faced another setback in the Telangana High Court in connection with his movie "Vyuham." The High Court's single bench had halted the film's release last month following a petition filed by a TDP national general secretary, alleging that the movie insulted their family and depicted characters negatively.

The single-judge bench canceled the film's censor certificate, instructing the Censor Board to review the film and provide a report within four weeks. The movie's release was halted until February 11, and the verdict was announced on the 22nd of the previous month.

In response to the judgment, director Ram Gopal Varma, producer Ramdoota Creations, and producer Dasari Kirankumar appealed to the High Court against the decision of the single bench. The division bench, consisting of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Anil Kumar, heard arguments on Wednesday and Thursday and subsequently reserved the verdict.

On Monday, the bench ordered a reevaluation of the film and directed the Censor Board Committee to submit its report by the 9th of this month. The revising committee is not required to provide specific reasons for each film while challenging the judgment, and the court is expected to consider all aspects before delivering its final decision.
