HYDERABAD: Rishab Shetty garnered immense success with "Kantara," receiving widespread acclaim and positive reviews. Now, the much-anticipated prequel to "Kantara" is set to commence filming next month. There are high expectations on this project.
The prequel, set in the time period of 301-400 AD, aims to explore the origins of the Panjurli Daivam featured in the original film. Rishab Shetty, serving as the director, is expected to delve into the backstory of the deity in "Kantara 2."
It's rumored that the core cast and crew from the original film will largely remain intact for "Kantara 2." The film is anticipated to be on a grander scale, with a significantly higher budget compared to its predecessor.
Produced by Hombale Films, "Kantara 2" is slated to have a pooja ceremony at the end of November. Rishab Shetty aims to complete filming in 2024, with plans to release the film in the latter half of the following year.
