HYDERABAD: The wheels of excitement have been set in motion as the shooting of "Double Ismart," the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster "Ismart Shankar," has been kickstarted by the dynamic Ram Pothineni, also known as Energetic Star. After a brief hiatus following the setback of "Liger," director Puri Jagannadh has devoted extensive effort to sculpting the script of this film. Now, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will be a part of the film.
The latest announcement from the team confirmed that Puri Jagannadh has explored numerous options in Bollywood for a pivotal role, and after much contemplation, the ace filmmaker has succeeded in bringing the esteemed Sanjay Dutt on board for this venture.
We witnessed his brilliance as an antagonist in the pan-Indian blockbuster "KGF Chapter 2," and he is all set to grace the screens once again in the much-awaited film "Leo," helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring Vijay in the lead.
Mumbai serves as the primary backdrop for a significant portion of the movie, lending it a pan-Indian flavor that has fans eagerly awaiting its release.
The female lead and the music director for "Double Ismart" have yet to be finalized and revealed. Produced by Puri Connects, the film has been scheduled for a grand release on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri in 2024.
