Shankar gives an update about Indian 2's shoot

After getting halted for more than a year, director Shankar's ambitious project Indian 2 hit back the floors a few weeks ago. Starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, Indian 2 is a sequel to the super hit film Indian (Bharateeyudu in Telugu).

Meanwhile, Shankar gave a new update about this movie. He was at the trailer launch event of Ponniyin Selvan last night.

Speaking at the event, he said that a schedule of Indian 2 was wrapped up on Monday and the new schedule will begin in the third week of September. Apparently, Kamal Haasan will also join the sets in this schedule.

Indian 2 features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the other key roles. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are jointly bankrolling the project. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for it.

Apart from this movie, Shankar is also shooting simultaneously for his other film RC 15. Starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, this pan-India biggie is also in the midway of its shoot.
