Superstar Rajinikanth to be a part of Kantara 2?

HYDERABAD: Kantara is one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema last year. It was made on a budget of just 16 crores and went on to collect more than 300 crores at the box office. It was written and directed by Rishab Shetty. He also played the lead hero in it.
Rishab announced the prequel to Kantara recently during the 100 days celebrations of the film. He said that the scripting works are going on right now and the film will hit the screens in 2024.
At a recent event in Bengaluru, Rishab Shetty stated that Kantara 2 will be packed with surprises and will also belong to a different genre. Meanwhile, a few media reports stated that Superstar Rajinikanth will be acting in this movie. When asked about the same, Rishab remained tight-lipped.
His silence is now raising speculations. If Rajini is indeed a part of Kantara 2, the anticipation will be sky-high for sure.
