Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu to release on February 22 on Prime

HYDERABAD: This year, Telugu and Tamil film industries had a good Sankrathi festive season with big releases. All those films are now hitting the OTT platforms. Already, Ajith's Thunivu premiered on February 8th on Netflix. Now, Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu is gearing up for its digital premiere.
It will be premiering on Amazon Prime Video on February 22. It will be available on Prime Video only in India. For the overseas audience, the film will be streaming on the Sun NXT platform. Even on Sun NXT, Varisu will release on February 22.
Varisu will be streaming on Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Announcing the same, Prime Video's official handle tweeted, "Hold tight because the wait is over! Here he comes. #VarisuOnPrime, Feb 22 coming soon in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam!"
On the flip side, Sun NXT also made an official announcement by tweeting, "The Boss returns. #Varisu streaming from 22nd February on #SunNXT (Not available in India)."
People who missed watching this blockbuster in theatres can now watch it on the above OTT platforms. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Thaman composed the music for it.
