This 'Spy' poses a threat to Samantha

HYDERABAD: Samantha Ruth Prabhu's biggest project Shaakuntalam is facing release hurdles for the last few months. Already, it got postponed multiple times until now. It was supposed to hit the screens on February 17 but that didn't happen as well.

Finally, the makers decided to release the film on April 14. Now, young her Nikhil Siddhartha is planning to take on Samantha with his pan-India project Spy.

Nikhil attained good popularity across the nation with his blockbuster film Karthikeya 2. After the pan-India success of Karthikeya 2, he scored a decent hit with 18 Pages. He is looking forward to scoring another blockbuster with Spy.

Noted editor Garry BH turns as a director with Spy. Ishwarya Menon plays the female lead in it. Official confirmation of Spy's release date is expected to be made soon.

If both Spy and Shaakuntalam hit the screens on the same day, we can expect a tight tussle between them as both movies are getting a pan-India release.
