HYDERABAD: So far, 2023 has been a dull season for the Telugu film industry. Barring a handful of films, no other movie managed to become successful in these six months. The season was dry with no big releases in summer. Generally, festive seasons provide a good market at the box office.
During this year's Sankranthi, we had Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy in theatres. Both films ended up as successful ventures. Now, all eyes are on the Dasara festive season.
During this year's Dasara, Balakrishna will be arriving with Bhagavanth Kesari, Ravi Teja will be coming up with Tiger Nageswara Rao and Thalapathy Vijay will be releasing his film Leo. All three are big films carrying huge expectations. Initially, Boyapati and Ram Pothineni's film was also in the race. But it is now preponed to the Vinayaka Chavithi.
If Bhagavanth Kesari, Tiger Nageswara Rao and Leo do well at the box office, we can expect a cracker of the festive season in Tollywood.
