HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to grace the silver screen with the remake of the Tamil film Vedalam, titled "Bholaa Shankar." The film sees Keerthy Suresh essaying the role of Chiru's sister. Interestingly, Keerthy Suresh had previously portrayed Superstar Rajinikanth's sister in the film Annaatthe, which unfortunately met with a lackluster response from critics and the audience, becoming a box office disappointment.

With Annatthe being similar to Vedalam/Bholaa Shankar, there are doubts that a similar response will be generated in Telugu. Keerthy Suresh's role is crucial in the film, and she chose it after Sai Pallavi rejected it.

The sister-sentiment genre is familiar to Chiranjeevi, too, as he faced a setback with a similar film titled Lankeswarudu around three decades ago. But, there are other films like Hitler where Chiranjeevi tasted success when films revolved around sister sentiment.

Now, Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh reunite for "Bholaa Shankar," directed by Meher Ramesh. The fans and the film fraternity hope that "Bholaa Shankar" will emerge as a resounding success at the box office.

As the talented duo, Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh, join forces in "Bholaa Shankar," their chemistry on screen is much-awaited. The film has garnered considerable attention, and the hope is that it will overcome any past hurdles to emerge as a box office success, creating new milestones for Chiranjeevi and the entire team.
