Earlier this year, the project of Prabhas and director Maruthi was announced. After multiple delays, it got finally launched with a formal pooja ceremony this morning. But Prabhas fans are unhappy with this development and started trending #BoycottMaruthiFromTFI on social media.

If we get into the story, Prabhas fans are upset with the announcement of this project and they don't want their favourite hero to do this film. Maruthi's filmography is the primary reason for it. Until now, Maruthi hasn't worked with a pan-India star like Prabhas. His movies appeal mostly to the youth and family audiences.

But Maruthi is also often criticized for his outdated writing style and his cliched as well as cringe comedy scenes. The present generation audience isn't impressed with most of his work. On top of that, his last two films Manchi Rojulochaie and Pakka Commercial ended up as disasters at the box office.
