NIZAMABAD: A tragic incident unfolded in Navipet mandal of Nizamabad district when a four-year-old girl lost her life due to electrocution while attempting to open a refrigerator in a supermarket.

This heart-wrenching incident, which took place on Monday, was captured by the CCTV cameras in the store.

Rishita had accompanied her father, Rajasekhar, to the supermarket. While he was searching for ice cream in one refrigerator, she went to the adjacent one, presumably in search of chocolates. Tragically, as soon as she touched the door, she was electrocuted.

Unaware of the horrific event, her father continued his search for ice cream. It was only after a few moments that he discovered Rishita hanging onto the fridge's door, her hand still in contact with it. He immediately picked up the child and rushed her to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared her dead.

In protest against the supermarket's negligence, the girl's parents and other relatives staged a demonstration in front of the store with Rishita's lifeless body. The police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
